WARRANTY AND CONFORMITY POLICY

1. Legal Framework

This warranty policy is issued in accordance with:

  • Directive (EU) 2019/771 on certain aspects concerning contracts for the sale of goods

  • Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights

  • Applicable national consumer protection legislation

  • Civil and Commercial Law (for B2B transactions)


2. Scope of Application

These warranty conditions apply exclusively to LPG/CNG system components, including but not limited to:

  • LPG reducers (vaporizers)

  • LPG injectors

  • MAP sensors

  • LPG ECUs

  • solenoid valves

  • repair kits

  • electronic and mechanical LPG components

Products sold are technical components intended for professional installation only.


3. Warranty Period

3.1 Consumers (B2C)

Products benefit from a 24-month legal guarantee of conformity starting from the date of delivery.

In case of lack of conformity, the consumer is entitled to:

  • repair

  • replacement

  • price reduction

  • contract termination (refund)

in accordance with applicable EU and national legislation.


3.2 Business Customers (B2B)

For business customers, a 12-month limited commercial warranty applies, unless otherwise specified on the invoice or product page.


4. Essential Condition for Warranty Validity (LPG Components)

Due to the regulated and safety-critical nature of LPG systems:

The warranty is valid only if installation has been carried out by an authorized and certified LPG workshop, in compliance with:

  • applicable national technical regulations

  • manufacturer technical specifications

  • homologation requirements

Proof of professional installation may be required.

Failure to install the product in a certified LPG workshop releases the seller from liability for defects caused by improper installation, calibration, or configuration.


5. Customer Obligations

The customer is responsible for:

  • verifying compatibility before installation

  • providing accurate technical information

  • ensuring professional installation

  • performing required software calibration (if applicable)

  • maintaining the LPG system according to manufacturer recommendations

Failure to comply may result in warranty rejection where a causal link is established.


6. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not apply where the defect is caused by:

6.1 Product Integrity Issues

  • removal or damage of serial numbers, labels or security seals

  • missing identification markings


6.2 Improper Installation or Use

  • incorrect installation

  • installation by unauthorized personnel

  • installation together with worn, defective or modified components

  • incorrect pressure settings

  • improper ECU calibration

  • use in non-homologated or incompatible systems


6.3 External Factors

  • vehicle accident or collision

  • fire, flood, excessive humidity

  • mechanical, thermal or electrical shock

  • voltage fluctuations or short circuits

  • improper storage or transport


6.4 Physical Damage

  • visible impact marks, scratches, deformation

  • signs of forced opening

  • unauthorized internal intervention


6.5 Normal Wear and Consumables

The following items are considered consumables and are not covered by extended warranty:

  • LPG filters

  • membranes

  • rubber elements

  • seals and O-rings

  • injector/reducer repair kits

These items are covered only against manufacturing defects at delivery.


7. Electronic Components

For LPG ECUs, MAP sensors, injectors and electronic modules, the warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • reversed polarity

  • short circuit

  • incorrect wiring

  • improper programming

  • electrical overvoltage

Technical inspection may include internal electronic analysis.


8. Warranty Claim Procedure

To initiate a warranty claim, the customer must provide:

  1. Proof of purchase

  2. Proof of professional installation

  3. Detailed written description of the defect

The seller reserves the right to perform technical inspection or send the product to the manufacturer for expert analysis.

If no conformity defect is found, diagnostic and transport costs may be charged to the customer.


9. Right of Withdrawal (Distance Sales)

Consumers have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from delivery, without giving any reason.

However, LPG components may only be returned if:

  • not installed

  • no signs of use

  • in original packaging

Installed products are not eligible for withdrawal.


10. Limitation of Liability

ECOGAS DUAL FUEL SRL liability is strictly limited to the value of the purchased product.

The company shall not be liable for:

  • engine damage

  • malfunction of other LPG components

  • increased fuel consumption

  • vehicle immobilization

  • indirect or consequential losses


11. Declaration of Conformity

ECOGAS DUAL FUEL SRL declares that the products sold comply with applicable European homologation standards (ECE regulations and national LPG regulations).

Safety is guaranteed only when products are installed and used according to manufacturer instructions.
